My best thing that happened this year was meeting new people and going on trips and also learning new things everyday. I loved this year and hope the memories stay beyond my brain and heart forever. I made lots of friends and had lots of fun. Most of the times we hanged out did homework together and even helped us out through rough times. Friends come before anything and they helped me through a lot of things. School has been fun because I learned something new everyday and I went through rough times but everything worked out at the end. My teachers have been really helpful and supportive of everyone.
The worst thing that happened this year was getting some bad grades and going through hard tests and studying. This was really hard to study and keep up with homework at the same time. I really need to stay after school and finish some homework that I couldn't finish at home.
The positive and negative effects of the Columbia Exchange are really supported and they helped us today. A positive effect is that widespread crops and livestock that supported the increase in population throughout the regions. One of the negatives is that slavery and communicable diseases. This was not really supported because because of this many people were taken and never returned. Sometimes many people enter slavery to fight for their family members.
Slavery was the biggest con they had because most of the time they didn't want to leave but had to or they would die. Most people today are thankful for the people who got rid of slavery. These are some thing that are positive and negative .
My favorite station at the zoo was the sea lion cove because I enjoyed seeing the sea lions play and I liked how they swam underwater and climbed onto the rocks. They were really outstanding because it showed me that they enjoyed living at the zoo because they play and get feed. When I seen them a zoo employee was cleaning the water for them and it looked like she enjoyed her job too. This was a good station because the sea lions seem to be happy and that is all that matters. Sea lions are really adorable animals because they make cute sounds and they have whiskers. I love sea lions because they look like bigger dogs but with no legs.m
The Inca and Aztec Empire were alike because they both ruled for a long period of time and they both had huge kingdoms. The Inca Empire was really big and they had a lot of cool things back then. They both wanted to please their gods, so they sacrificed themselves to the gods. Most of the time they did huge celebrations to the sun. They did a huge feast to the sun because they hoped to get even better crops next harvest. The Aztec was almost the same but they had different celebration from the Inca. They got their ears pierced. This is how they are alike.
My favorite moment of history was that we learned many things about the people who lived back then and that they made lots of creations that were really unusual. They were the first people on earth and it was really fascinating to learn about them. My favorite time was when we learned about the Mayas because they played a game that required their hips. I really liked history this year. When we started learning about civilization I got really interested about how the people were back then and how they did things to please their gods. Many of the things we learned were valuable because later we will need to know this information.
I thinks it collapsed because many people came to this kind of land during the Maya times. I think it also collapsed because of over population and warfare. This is what I think caused consolidation to the Mayas. My favorite book that I have read is Esperanza Rising because it's based on a true story about a girl who goes from rich to poor. Her name is Esperanza Ortega and her parents are named Sixto Ortega and Ramona Ortega. Esperanza is so rich and she lives on a ranch in a big and beautiful house El Rancho de Las Rosa's. Esperanza is wealthy and she has these beautiful dresses and porcelain dolls that her father gives her every year on her birthday. When the grape season begins Esperanza knows that there would be a party for her. Her dad dies before her birthday and they have to leave to the U.S to work in the fields. This is my favorite book because it changes her life but she is still strong.
I think that Scientific Revolution was important because it had to do with many people that are known today for all their hard work. This is really important to people because it talked about how the things were back then and how they changes from today. One reason that stands out is that the people gave us ideas to use on the stuff we want to learn about. For example, Galileo discovered how gravity makes items fall at once, but they have different weights. These ideas were really nice because know scientists don't have to re think what was already thought.
The five things that I want to take seriously at school and make some changes are we should have a longer spring break because it's more rest and when we come back it will be the same. The next thing I think we should change is we should get new lunches every week because we get the same food on the same day each week. Example mash potatoes, Mexican burrito and so on, on Monday we get it every week.
The third thing we should change is we should get more stalls in the bathroom because there is always a huge line and there is only three stalls. The fourth thing we should change is we should have a longer time of break because we need to rest after four long periods. The last thing is we should have more fundraisers and assemblies and fun activities.
What I'm looking forward to my spring break is I want to spend some time with my family and hang out with my neighbor and my little cousins because all day I'm usually doing homework or I'm not even paying attention to them. On Friday, when I get home I am going to try to finish most of my assigned homework before I go do something else. On Saturday I am going to go to the park because on Saturday's me and my friends and cousins like to go to the park and play soccer. On Sunday I have to go to Church. And the rest of the week I am still planning what I should do in order to have fun. And on Sunday March 31,, 2013 I am going to the Snow to celebrate Easter.C This is all I'm doing on my Spring Break.
